2nd Smart Irrigation Summit 2024

2nd Edition of the Smart Irrigation Summit 2024 is scheduled to held on 10th December, 2024 at Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. The Summit will be jointly organized by Irrigation Association of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI).

The theme of the 2nd SMART Irrigation Summit “Micro Irrigation: Path to Achieving Water-Food-Energy Security” exploresthe interconnected challenges of water, energy, and food security. The Summit aims to encourage governments and development professionals to harness the potential of innovative resource-efficient irrigation solutions as a means to address increasing demands for food, water and energy, while promoting sustainability and resilience in agricultural practices.

The Summit aims to bring together influential stakeholders, visionary leaders, and trailblazing innovators from the irrigation sector to explore transformative solutions and pioneering frameworks that are reshaping agricultural water management.

Objectives
  • To provide a single point of reference to all stakeholders in water management in Agriculture
  • To engage in constructive policy dialogue with a focus on promoting the widespread implementation of smart irrigation technologies
  • To build strong partnerships and strengthen alliances among micro irrigation companies, agribusinesses and government entities
  • To incorporate farmer-centric approachesin policy making, addressing farmers' needs in a comprehensive way
